Under the meticulous planning of renowned Italian interior designer Adriano Bacchella, Villa Calanova underwent a large-scale restoration and style transformation. In this renovation project, lighting design became an essential component. The entire lighting system, crafted by Catellani & Smith, was ingeniously applied both indoors and outdoors. It not only highlights the architectural details but also creates an emotionally charged interplay of light and shadow, adding infinite layers to the overall design.
The villa is spread over two levels, welcoming guests with the stunning Macchina della Luce chandelier, whose layered composition exudes an artistic flair. The PostKrisi 51 pendant lamp, with its white exterior and gold interior, and the pure white Lucenera 503 ceiling light introduce a soft modern touch, while the copper-foil-covered Lederam W1 wall light adds a luxurious glow to the space.
Ascending the staircase, the precision-crafted CicloItalia adjustable double-arm wall light at the landing guides the eye to the second floor. In the bedroom area, fixtures such as the Lola table lamp, satin gold Light Stick wall light, and EC 301 wall light illuminate every corner with their understated elegance, creating a serene and refined atmosphere for relaxation.
The outdoor space has also been thoughtfully illuminated, blending seamlessly with the surrounding natural landscape. The expansive garden area is lit by a carefully selected array of outdoor lights, including Fil de Fer, More, Syphasera, Syphasfera, and Syphaduepassi. As night falls, the garden transforms into a captivating interplay of light and shadow, as if the stars of the night sky are scattered throughout, providing an unparalleled visual experience.
